17-4 PH (UNS S17400) ist ein martensitic precipitation-hardening stainless steel containing 15-17.5% Cr, 3-5% Ni, und 3-5% Cu. Es achieves ultra-hoch strength (auf zu H900 condition: 1,170 MPa yield) durch precipitation von copper-rich phases während ein simple single-schritt aging treatment bei 480-620°C—far simpler als der quench-und-temper cycle von conventional martensitic steels. Excellent combination von hoch strength, gut corrosion widerstand (comparable zu 304), und dimensional stability während heat treatment. Widely used für aerospace structural components, pumpe shafts, ventil stems, gears, und nuclear waste containers.
