Nominal composition: 0.28-0.40% C, 1.4-2.0% Cr, 0.3-0.55% Mo, und optionally 0.85-1.25% Ni für improved polishability und durch-hardness in large blocks. Der pre-hardened condition eliminates der dimensional changes, distortion, und surface scaling associated mit post-machining heat treatment. P20+Ni (modified mit nickel) ist der standard für large automotive injection molds (bumpers, dashboards) requiring uniform hardness throughout thick sections. Polishable zu SPI EIN-2 finish; texturing durch chemical etching für grain effects.
