Sein PREN (Pitting Widerstand Entsprechung Number) von 34-36 exceeds 316L (25-28), making es suitable für seawater-cooled heat exchangers, chemical tankers, desalination plants, und offshore structures. Verwenden matching oder slightly über-alloyed filler (ER2209). Maintain heat input von 0.5-2.5 kJ/mm—zu niedrig prevents ordnungsgemäß austenite reformation, zu hoch promotes intermetallic phases. Interpass temperature müssen stay unter 150°C. Nein preheat ist needed. Post-weld solution annealing bei 1020-1100°C followed durch wasser quenching ist recommended für kritisch corrosion service, though viele non-kritisch applications accept als-welded condition.
