Copper Alloy Materials

Copper and its alloys—brass (Cu-Zn), bronze (Cu-Sn), cupronickel (Cu-Ni), and beryllium copper (Cu-Be)—provide the highest electrical and thermal conductivity among engineering metals. C11000 ETP copper (101% IACS) is the electrical standard; C36000 free-cutting brass is the machinability benchmark (100% index); C93200 bearing bronze provides centuries-proven tribological performance. Key selection factors: conductivity, corrosion resistance, machinability, and cost (copper is 3–4× the price of carbon steel per kg).
